Cowboy Camp

Cowboy Horse Camp is a hands-on outdoor adventure where young riders will spend their days with horses, learning the skills, grit, and know-how that come with life on the range. Campers will build their horsemanship while learning practical outdoor skills like trail riding, navigating the land, knot tying, campfire building, horse care, basic first aid, packing gear, and working together to tackle ranch and trail challenges.
There’ll be dirt on their boots, plenty of time in the saddle, and lots of good old-fashioned outdoor fun.
This isn’t your average summer camp — it’s a chance to unplug, get outside, work hard, build confidence, and experience a little taste of the cowboy way of life.
Ride hard. Learn the land. Find your wild.

Where Wild Hearts Ride ~
Trail Riding 101

There’s something powerful about stepping beyond the arena and onto the open trail—where the air feels a little freer, the connection a little deeper, and the rhythm of hoofbeats invites you to simply be.
Where Wild Hearts Ride ~ Trail Riding 101 is a beginner-friendly, heart-led introduction to trail riding designed for those who feel the pull toward horses, nature, and something more.
Over four 2-hour sessions, you’ll build confidence and connection as you learn the fundamentals of:
-
Safe and mindful saddling and horse preparation
-
Understanding your horse and developing trust on the ground
-
Foundational riding skills for the trail
-
Navigating varied terrain with awareness and ease
This is more than learning to ride—it’s about learning to listen. To your horse, to the land, and to yourself.
Whether you’re brand new or looking to deepen your relationship with horses outside of an arena setting, this experience offers a supportive, welcoming space to grow.
Each ride is an invitation—to slow down, to breathe deeper, and to step into a sense of presence that can only be found alongside horses. Out on the trail, there is no rush, no expectation—just the quiet unfolding of confidence, trust, and connection with every step forward.

$240 for all 4 sessions (8 hours of horse time)
Subsidized by the Ponies and Planks Skijoring Fundraiser to help keep this experience accessible.
